Norway’s Equinor recently agreed to sell its shale assets at the Eagle Ford shale formation to Repsol for $325 million.
The company holds 69,000 net acres in the formation via a joint venture with Spanish Repsol, and its equity production from the Eagle Ford averaged 43,000 boe per day, or 2 percent of its total global output, in 2018.
Under the agreement, Repsol will be the new operator and will have a 100-percent interest in the asset.
