Anvil International and Smith-Cooper International have entered into a definitive agreement to merge. The combined company will be majority owned by Tailwind Capital. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The combined company will be a leading designer, manufacturer and provider of products that connect and support piping systems with a portfolio of high-quality, global brands. Together, Anvil and Smith- Cooper will offer a more comprehensive product portfolio to national, regional and local distributors across North America, serving the industrial, commercial, fire protection, energy and mining end-markets. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2019 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
